The Century Club was established by The Dressage Foundation in 1996. It honors senior dressage riders and horses that are still actively riding and competing. To become a member of The Century Club, the ages of the rider and horse must add up to 100 or more years! The pair may ride any level dressage test and be scored by a judge.
We are very pleased that Sue Williams and Marie Lou will be riding Training Level Test 2 for their Century Club membership. Their combined ages total 103 years.
What makes this particular ride special is that Marie Lou is a daughter of Terry and Sue Williams’ Trakehner stallion, Abdullah. Abdullah is most famous for his team gold and individual silver medals in show jumping during the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Along with these and many other international awards, Abdullah was honored in 2008 with entry into the U.S. Show Jumping Hall of Fame. He was also named as one of the top 50 horses of the twentieth century by “The Chronicle of the Horse”.
Sue did an Amazing Job. Congratulations
