The Century Club was established by The Dressage Foundation in 1996.  It honors senior dressage riders and horses that are still actively riding and competing.  To become a member of The Century Club, the ages of the rider and horse must add up to 100 or more years!  The pair may ride any level dressage test and be scored by a judge.    

We are very pleased to announce that Sue Williams and Marie Lou will be riding Training Level Test 2 for their Century Club membership at the Chestnut Ridge Summer Dressage Show on Saturday July 24, 2021.  

Sue felt that the Century Club Ride would be most meaningful if ridden on an offspring of their stallion, Abdullah.  Last fall, she learned that the Abdullah daughter, Marie Lou was now 25.  Megan Gamin, her owner was generous enough to loan Marie Lou for the ride.  

Abdullah is most famous for his team gold and individual silver medals in show jumping during the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.  Sue would like to dedicate this ride to her husband, Terry, who was always working behind the scene to create the adventures they had at Williamsburg Farm and Chestnut Ridge.

Anyone attending is welcome to join in celebrating this milestone with Sue and Chestnut Ridge Equestrian Center.  Have a beautiful ride, Sue!
